Ultimate Truco — Privacy Policy

Ultimate Truco (the “App”), by SFWD Studios, is designed to work locally without a studio account. This policy shows, feature by feature, what stays on the device, what may move through optional Apple services, and the only context in which information reaches the studio directly.

Deletion, layer by layer

Each layer has its own control.

“Delete account data” signs you out, clears the sign-in data from this device, and deletes the private CloudKit record. That record lives inside your Apple Account, beyond the studio’s reach: if the request does not go through — with no network, for example — the record can remain, and you are the one who clears it, either by repeating the action with a connection or through your Apple Account storage controls. On-device progress, the separate iCloud Key-Value Store mirror, purchases, and the Sign in with Apple authorization are independent layers with their own controls, described in section 6.

1. Scope, responsible party, and architecture

This policy covers Ultimate Truco for iPhone. SFWD Studios operates under Brazilian registration CNPJ 68.097.694/0001-60. Processing decided directly by the studio, such as email support, is conducted under the SFWD Studios brand in São Paulo, Brazil.

The architecture is local-first: the studio maintains no proprietary account, user database, game API, or studio-operated server for progress or matches. iCloud, CloudKit, Sign in with Apple, Game Center, App Store, and StoreKit features are operated by Apple under the terms, policies, and controls of the Apple account.

2. What the App deliberately does not do

The App contains no advertising, advertising SDK, cross-app or cross-site tracking, usage analytics, or third-party crash-reporting SDK. It does not sell data, build an advertising profile, or send gameplay telemetry to the studio.

  • There is no free-text chat: online communication uses only preset phrases and reactions and can be muted.
  • The App does not request access to contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or location.
  • There is no push notification or token sent to a backend; the optional reminder is a local device notification.
  • Sign-in is not required. Sign in with Apple is a private-backup option, not a condition of play.

3. Data kept on the device

To save and personalize the experience, the App keeps on the device Story progress, stars, completed worlds and challenges, boss records, achievements, and viewed introductions; gameplay statistics and calculated rates; the chosen profile, avatar, color, and equipped cosmetics; recognized purchases; audio, accessibility, and gameplay settings; the local reminder; and, where applicable, the state of a saved quick match.

This information is used to resume play, unlock content, show statistics, restore preferences, and run the game. It is not automatically transmitted to SFWD Studios. Removing the App normally clears its local container, but Keychain and iCloud data may remain depending on the service and Apple settings.

4. Automatic iCloud sync

When iCloud is available to the App, iCloud Key-Value Store may automatically mirror Story progress, general and boss statistics, achievements and introductions, in-game profile data, equipped cosmetics, career XP adjustments, and the star wallet. The mirrored profile includes the display name you chose or adopted, so that name reaches your own iCloud — never a studio server. This belongs to the device’s iCloud account, operates independently of Sign in with Apple, and does not pass through studio infrastructure.

Purchases, in-progress matches, general settings, reminders, weekly wins, the per-match statement on the Statistics screen, and the Story Mode bookmark that reopens your last world are not part of this mirror. If iCloud is unavailable, the game continues with local state and attempts to sync again when service returns. The App resolves conflicts from the available progress snapshot, so do not delete or reinstall the App while an important sync is pending.

5. Sign in with Apple, Keychain, and private CloudKit

Sign in with Apple is optional. If you sign in, the App requests only your full name and does not request your email address. Apple provides an App-specific identifier and, only when available at first access, the name you authorized. The identifier and received name stay in Keychain to maintain and present the session.

The identifier allows the App to locate one TrucoProfile record in your account’s private CloudKit database. That record holds a snapshot of the SAME key set the iCloud Key-Value Store mirrors, described in section 4 — Story progress, general and boss statistics, achievements and introductions, career XP adjustments, the star wallet and what it has already bought, the profile (including the display name), and equipped cosmetics. For the same reason it excludes exactly what section 4 excludes: purchases, an in-progress match, general settings, reminders, weekly wins, the per-match statement, and the Story Mode bookmark. The database is private to the Apple account; the studio receives no copy on its own server.

6. Signing out, deleting data, and account controls

Signing out removes the active session identifier from this device but may currently keep the cached name for a future sign-in, local progress, the independent iCloud Key-Value Store mirror, and the private CloudKit record. You can also stop the association through the Sign in with Apple panel for your Apple account.

“Delete account data” signs you out, removes the identifier and the cached name from this device’s Keychain, and deletes the TrucoProfile record from the private CloudKit database in your Apple account. That record belongs to your account: the studio has no read or write access to it, so the deletion can only be carried out from your device or through your Apple-account controls. If the request does not complete — with no network, for example — the record can remain; sign in with Apple again on a stable connection and repeat the action, or delete the data in iOS Settings › your Apple Account › iCloud › Manage Account Storage › Ultimate Truco › Delete Data. For questions about the procedure, email contact@sfwdstudios.com. The other layers are separate and have their own controls: remove the App to clear on-device progress, use iCloud controls for the Key-Value Store mirror, manage purchases with Apple, and revoke authorization in iOS Settings › your Apple Account › Sign in with Apple.

7. Game Center, multiplayer, and leaderboards

Public and private matches, achievements, and leaderboards use Game Center. To authenticate, find, and conduct a match, Apple and participants may receive or see the Game Center identifier and display name, in-game avatar and profile color, table composition, actions, cards and decisions needed for play, outcomes, scores, and the identifiers of preset phrases or quick reactions you send.

There is no free text. Quick messages can be muted in Settings. Game Center also receives the values needed for 22 achievements and four leaderboards: XP, Story stars, total online wins, and weekly wins. Private matches are friendly: they award no XP, record no statistics or online history, affect no leaderboards, and carry no abandonment penalty.

8. Purchases and restoration

In-app purchases are processed by the App Store through StoreKit. Apple handles the payment, receipt, and purchasing account. The App uses product identifiers and the verified entitlement, restoration, or revocation state needed to unlock content; purchases are not copied to iCloud Key-Value Store or the CloudKit snapshot.

SFWD Studios does not receive or store card numbers, bank-account details, or payment credentials. Restoration uses the same Apple account that made the purchase and revalidates entitlements with the App Store.

9. Optional local reminder

If you allow notifications and enable the reminder, the App schedules at most one notification on the device for seven days after you leave. Opening the game cancels the pending notification, which may be scheduled again after a later exit.

The reminder uses no server, push token, advertising, or behavioral profile. Permission can be changed in iOS Settings, and the preference can also be disabled inside the game.

10. Support, feedback, and information you send

Emailing support is optional and happens outside the App. When you write, we receive your email address, name or signature, message content, and attachments you choose to send. Do not send passwords, access codes, full payment-card numbers, or other unnecessary data.

We use the message to reply, reproduce and fix problems, administer support, improve the product, prevent abuse, protect rights, and meet obligations.

11. Purposes and legal grounds for direct processing

When SFWD Studios receives information directly, usually by email, processing is limited to the requested support and corresponding pre-contractual or contractual steps; the legitimate interest of maintaining support, security, and product defense, assessed against necessity and data-subject rights; compliance with a legal or regulatory obligation; and the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims. If a purpose requires consent, it will be presented separately and may be withdrawn.

Data operated by Apple follows the relationship between you, Apple, and the selected feature. This policy describes the App integration but does not replace Apple notices and controls.

12. Retention, security, and international operations

Local data remains until replaced or deleted by the App, the system, or you. Keychain items may survive a reinstall; iCloud and CloudKit data follow Apple-account controls and retention. Support conversations are kept while needed to complete support and then deleted or retained only while a legal obligation, contractual relationship, or the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims justifies the record.

We apply minimization and restricted access to information received directly. No method is infallible. Apple services and providers needed for email may operate infrastructure in other countries; in those cases, processing follows the provider’s mechanisms and safeguards and applicable law.

13. Children and teenagers

The App is not directed specifically to children, creates no proprietary account, contains no advertising, analytics, tracking, or free-text chat, and does not seek to receive children’s data on a studio-operated server. Optional Apple features depend on Apple’s age, family, and account rules and should be used with applicable authorization or supervision.

If we identify a child’s or teenager’s information received directly without an appropriate ground, we will take proportionate steps to delete it. Any direct processing will be limited to what is necessary, with attention to best interests and applicable law.

14. Your rights, contact, and changes

Under applicable law, you may request confirmation and access, correction, anonymization, blocking or deletion where appropriate, portability under applicable regulations, information about sharing, review or withdrawal of consent, and objection to unlawful processing. We may request only what is needed to verify identity and scope.

For processing decided by the studio, email contact@sfwdstudios.com. For information held through Apple services, also use your Apple-account controls and channels. You may petition Brazil’s National Data Protection Authority. Material changes to this policy will receive a new date or version and, where needed, an in-App notice or renewed consent.
